The Adelaide Hills region is located in the southern part of Australia, and its name directly refers to the state capital - the city of Adelaide. Adelaide Hills is one of the most extensive wine regions in Australia. The vineyards are located on elevations of 400-500 m above sea level, and the warm, Mediterranean climate, low rainfall, and sea breeze create ideal conditions for growing grapes. Varieties grown here include sauvignon blanc, riesling, chardonnay, semillon, pinot noir, shiraz, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon. The region is renowned for producing high-quality wines that are very fruity and full of aromas.

d’Arenberg Winery

This is one of the most famous Australian wineries. The d’Arenberg winery was founded in 1912 and has been managed by the Osborn family for four generations. Most of their vineyards are located in the McLaren Vale region of South Australia, but their offer also includes wines made from grapes sourced from Adelaide Hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula. d’Arenberg produces one of the most famous red, unfiltered wines - Dead Arm Shiraz.

This is a dry, extremely fruity wine. It features a straw color with golden highlights. On the palate, notes of nectarines, granny smith apples, vanilla, spicy spices, and roasted nuts are noticeable. The fruit notes are balanced by an intense oak aroma. This wine will perfectly pair with tuna and salmon, teriyaki chicken, pork, vegetarian dishes, and typical Asian cuisine. Best served at 10-12°C This is an excellent suggestion for summer.
