Corporate wellness is a company program of regeneration and health prevention, conducted outside the office, usually during a team’s multi-day trip. At Głęboczek Vine Resort & SPA by Lake Forbin, such a trip combines the SPA zone, healthy cuisine, physical activities, and the nature of the Brodnickie Lakeland with conference facilities.
More and more companies treat employee wellbeing as a permanent item in the HR budget, not a one-time benefit. The corporate wellness trip version allows combining workshop work with real rest, without constantly jumping between the room and the desk. Below we show what such a stay at Głęboczek can consist of and who it suits.
What is corporate wellness?
Corporate wellness are the company's actions supporting the physical and mental health of employees: from movement and regeneration, through stress management techniques, to burnout prevention. In practice, it increasingly takes the form of a trip during which the team breaks office routine and works slower but more mindfully for two to three days.
The reason is clear. Overwork and burnout translate into turnover and decreased engagement, so the HR department is looking for formats that allow the team to rest, not just another integration dinner.
SPA zone and regeneration by Lake Forbin
The basis of the corporate wellness program at Głęboczek is the Vine SPA with an indoor pool, year-round jacuzzi (indoor and outdoor), and an extensive sauna area: Finnish Sauna, Flower Bath, Tepidarium, and Infrared. Additionally, there is a stimulation zone with an ice fall, cardio zone, and relaxation sessions on the Alfa Cradle.
In summer, regeneration moves outdoors: there is an outdoor pool with a view of Lake Forbin, and in the winter season, cold water swimming. A separate item is vinotherapy, i.e., treatments based on grapes (massage with grape oil, grape peel, Wine Bath).
For one-day weekday meetings, the Day SPA formula works well, which includes a wellness lunch at Morellino Restaurant.
Movement and instructor-led activities
The program can be expanded with movement classes led by specialists, not just access to equipment. At Głęboczek, yoga and pilates sessions are held (led by certified instructor Ksenia Obołończyk), breathing workshops, and sessions with a therapist, including Healthy Spine and Nordic Walking.
For teams wanting to disconnect from tension, formats known from stress-off weekends work well: breathing exercises and mindfulness therapy on hammocks. Outside, there is also an outdoor gym with a lake view.
Water and outdoor activities
Active regeneration at Głęboczek is based on the lake and the Drwęca River. At a private marina by Lake Forbin, you can rent a kayak, SUP board, pedal boat, or boat and sail on the lake. The Drwęca kayak trip is a separate river expedition, running through a nature reserve, the longest ichthyological reserve in Poland. A calmer option is a covered raft cruise with a helmsman.
On land, there are bike trails around nearby lakes and Nordic Walking, and a small beach with a 20-meter pier suitable for morning warm-ups or evening relaxation.
Healthy cuisine: from organic breakfasts to wellness lunch
The cuisine in the corporate wellness program does not have to mean compromise. Głęboczek serves a wellness lunch, and breakfasts can be organized in the Vegetable Corner, its own organic herb and vegetable garden, outdoors in a gazebo. Guests receive a set prepared by chefs and compose their own salads or juices from a slow juicer.
A lighter lunch also works in the form of a picnic basket by the lake or in nearby meadows. In the evening, if the team wants a more social element, Live Cooking is available: dish prepared at the table with wine selected by a sommelier. This is a culinary accent, not a mandatory program point.
Evening under the stars and by the bonfire
The evening part of the program is time to slow down. Away from city lights, the sky over the Brodnickie Lakeland is genuinely dark, so Głęboczek organizes sky observations with an astronomer. An example is the August weekend with the Perseids, led by Sebastian Soberski, an astronomer and science popularizer: through a professional telescope, you can see Saturn, Jupiter, the Andromeda Galaxy, or the star Albireo, and the evening's culmination is the Perseid meteor shower. The date depends on the sky events calendar, so it's best to arrange it in advance.
Quieter evenings are filled with a bonfire, relaxation concert on bowls, or a walk through the vineyard, which has about 1,500 vines on the slopes around the facility. For those interested, the sommelier conducts wine tasting, including those from the family Płochocki Vineyard near Sandomierz.
Work and regeneration in one place
The corporate wellness trip does not have to exclude work. The resort has the Barollo hall with an area of 510 m² (up to 300 people in event layout) and a smaller Amarone hall (90 m²) with the possibility to divide into three parts, so a workshop session can be held in the morning and the afternoon left for SPA and movement.
Głęboczek is about 190 km from Warsaw, has its own heliport, and can be rented exclusively. This is an argument especially for intimate management trips where privacy matters.
Who is the corporate wellness trip suitable for?
The format is tailored to the group. An intimate retreat for management emphasizes privacy, silence, and regeneration, while a larger team or management trip combines integration elements with a wellness block.
Most common program variants:
- one-day reset: work session in the morning, afternoon in SPA and by the lake,
- 2-3 day trip: workshops or strategy plus daily movement and regeneration block,
- exclusive management retreat: smaller group, privacy, individually tailored activities.
Frequently asked questions about corporate wellness at Głęboczek, i.e., a wellbeing program for the team by the lake
How does a corporate wellness trip differ from a regular integration?
Integration focuses on shared fun, while wellness trip focuses on team regeneration and health: movement, rest, stress management techniques. These elements can be combined, but the emphasis is different.
Does the wellness program have to include wine tastings?
No. The basis is SPA, movement, and healthy cuisine. Wine tasting and vinotherapy are optional elements that can be included or omitted depending on the group's character.
Can the corporate wellness program be combined with a conference?
Yes. Barollo and Amarone halls allow conducting the work part, and the SPA zone and movement classes can be incorporated into the daily schedule. The hall layout and dates should be arranged in advance with the conference department.
How far is it from Warsaw?
About 190 km. The facility also has its own heliport, which shortens travel for small groups.
Can the facility be rented exclusively?
Yes. Exclusive rental works well for closed management trips where privacy is important.
